📍 Pirates' Cave (Phosphorus Cave)

Pirates' Cave sits low on the seaward flank of the Alanya castle peninsula, carved into the cliff and reachable only from the water. Local legend ties it to corsairs who used the cave to stash loot and hide captives between raids. Boat tours from Alanya harbour slow as they pass the opening, then usually anchor nearby for a swim in the clear shallows. It forms one stop on the classic peninsula circuit alongside the Phosphorescent Cave, Lovers' Cave and the Maiden's Cave.
